Mario Israel Angelo - President

Mario’s favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” He came to salvation in 1994, attending a youth conference in his home country of Sudan. Mario has degrees in Business administration from Fresno Pacific University, in Health Information Technology from Fresno City College, and Computer Networking from Fresno City College. His free time is spent with his family and friends, reading, and watching sports.

Sinh Lieng - Secretary

Sinh was born in northern Vietnam, but immigrated to the United States with his family at age 3. He currently works on the family farm, and serves as a deacon of Westwood Baptist Church in Fresno, CA. The first verse Sinh taught has become his favorite verse, Lamentations 3:22-23, “The Lord’s lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, For His compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.”

Bryant Borbon - Treasurer

Bryant has served as the Pastor’s Administrator at Selma First Baptist Church, has participated in missionary work, and has been actively involved with other non-profit organizations. He studied Aerospace Engineering and is a multi-instrumentalist, serving on several worship teams throughout his spiritual walk. His favorite bible verse is Romans 8:28, “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.” Bryant leans on this verse during difficult times knowing that often we don’t see God’s greater plan. He always has a blessing prepared for us, even if we don’t see it during those times of struggles.

Chips Ross - Board Member

Called to serve as a pastor in 2004, Chips is currently the pastor of Westwood Baptist Church in Fresno, CA. He graduated from The Master’s College with a degree in English and The Master’s Seminary with a Master of Divinity degree. Chips’ real name is Christopher, but his father called him Chips in early childhood after the movie, ‘Goodby Mr. Chipps.’ Attending a Sunday evening drama on the life of evangelist D.L. Moody was the moment of salvation for Chips.

Marianela Borbon - Board Member

Marianela has a heart for outreach, mission work, and children’s ministry. She loves people and loves to build lasting relationships and making a difference in their lives. Marianela received her bachelor’s degree in social science with a double minor in Communications and Conflict and Peace Studies from Fresno Pacific University. She continues her studies by reading personal growth and leadership books.

Russ Owen - Board Member

Realizing that there was something after death, Russ began searching and came to believe in Jesus through reading his Bible. He retired after 32 years as an equipment mechanic and supervisor for the city of Fresno. Proverbs 1:7 is his favorite verse, “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; fools despise wisdom and instruction.” Russ enjoys hunting, fishing, and baseball games, especially if his grandsons are playing.

Herb Seward - Board Member

Herb has been in church ministry for 25 years, the last 12 as pastor of Family World Harvest Church. He loves to fish, but loves more spending time with his family and reading God’s Word. Jeremiah 32:27 is a favorite verse of his, “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?” Herb graduated from Ecclesia University in Fresno with a Doctorate in Theology.
